expands its premises

Too cramped in its premises, STEEC wants to expand its work surface.

A major extension project for the company's current premises has been underway since the start of 2019. This extension will be mainly dedicated to increasing the production area with new spaces which increase the available area by almost 1000m² . These investments will allow STEEC to continue and support its growth in all of its business sectors, whether in EDM, laser micro-cutting or micro-machining, as well as in the food industry. This approach will also allow STEEC customers to be able to benefit from an increasingly qualitative service, whether in terms of completion times or in terms of machining performance.

Supporting clients' projects has also always been at the heart of STEEC's desire.

The most complex requests have always allowed STEEC to improve its performance by always pushing collaboration and co-construction with its customers across all of its areas of expertise.

STEEC supports and collaborates with the promising French start-up ThrustMe in the aerospace field. Founded in February 2017 and from the École Polytechnique and the CNRS, ThrustMe is developing a revolutionary propulsion system giving small satellites an extended lifespan and increased orbital control.

STEEC has been collaborating with ThrustMe since 2015, even before the start-up of the legal existence. STEEC was in charge of manufacturing large propellant parts, complex parts and presenting a large number of challenges to be met from a micro-machining point of view. For these parts, ThrustMe calls on all of STEEC's know-how, with parts that are produced by laser micro-cutting for the finest. Others are made by micro-milling / drilling as well as wire EDM and driving when the latter are thicker and / or have machining on several dimensions. STEEC collaborates closely on the design and production of these highly technical parts in order to find the best solutions in terms of micro-machining to meet the needs of the ThrustMe engineering teams in the development of their products.

STEEC indeed puts at the service of ThrustMe, as with each of its customers, its experience of more than 35 years in the realization of mechanical works of high technicality in very demanding and very varied sectors such as medical, aerospace, research and many others. Experience and requirement in quality management that the STEEC company also asserts through its ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications, the latter having been acquired this year.
