STEEC is specialised in high precision part machining (micromachining, micro-electrical discharge machining, micro-wire cutting, micro drilling and micro-boring, micro-sinking, micro-laser cutting and both wire and sinker EDM) for high technology industrial sectors such as ancillary and implant medicine, aerospace, aeronautics, research & development, nuclear, radio-astronomy, electronics, time-pieces and optics.
The company has successfully renewed its ISO 9001 certification for 2016, 2017 and 2018, and has also applied for the ISO 13485 standard for medical equipment industry SMQ (Quality Management System) requirements certification.
Unfortunately this process has been delayed by the absence of an audit guideline from the COFRAC, the organisation which manages all such authorisations in France. As a result of this the certification authorities have not been able to complete the necessary audit and attribute the updated 2016 ISO 13485 standard certification. Consequently STEEC now expects to receive this certification during the 2nd quarter of 2017.
